Atty. Carlos finished her Juris Doctor degree at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2010 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2011. She was an intern/facilitator of the Ateneo Human Rights Center (AHRC) from 2008 to 2010 and served as treasurer for the AHRC Council of Interns from 2009 to 2010. She was also the head of the Ateneo Central Bar Operations Hotel Services Committee and an active member of the Teehankee Center for the Rule of Law.

Prior to taking up law, she graduated from De La Salle University - Manila with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and passed the CPA board examination in 2006.
