Rofil is part of the firm's Tax Team which handles tax assessment cases with the Bureau of Internal Revenue as well as tax litigation cases in the Court of Tax Appeals and Supreme Court.
She also handled several Mergers & Acquisitions transactions by assisting clients in the due diligence process, the structuring of the acquisition, the negotiation process, and drafting and signing of transaction documents.
She likewise reviewed and drafted contracts, including but not limited to, Shareholders Agreement, Share Purchase Agreement, Service Agreement, Construction Contract, Lease Contract and Employment Contract.
For Corporate engagements, Rofil already assisted several clients in incorporation of domestic corporations with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She also handles corporate house keeping engagements which necessarily includes drafting of Secretary's Certificates and Minutes of Meetings of Stockholders and the Board of Directors. Currently, she acts as Assistant Corporate Secretary of a bank, lending company and pharmaceutical company.
Rofil also participates in the litigation practice as she drafts different pleadings submitted to various courts and government agencies. She likewise attends hearings before various courts and government agencies.
On top of legal engagements, Rofil spearheads the marketing arm of the firm by drafting capability statements, consistently updating the firm profile, as well as submissions to legal publications such as, Legal500, Chambers and Partners, International Financial Law Review 100, and Asialaw Profiles. Also handles the management and improvement of the firm's website.
Rofil Carpeso joined the firm as an associate in 2018. She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2017 and she was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2018. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of the Philippines in 2010.
